Jonah Rockwell was born in 1710 at Norwalk CT. Jonah married Dorothy Cole, who was born in Hartford CT in 1714. They settled in Norwalk CT. Jonah died before 1743.

They had at least five children. We are descended from two of them.

Son Jonah Rockwell married Mary Higgins.
Their daughter Mary married Mordecai Bedient.
Mordecai fathered Charles.
Charles fathered James.
James married Maria Jaynes.
Their son was Henry Lafayette Bedient, Madge’s grandfather.

Son John Rockwell married Miriam Higgins, the sister of Mary Higgins.
Their son Uriah married Hannah Nash.
Their daughter Mary married Jesse Jaynes.
Their daughter Maria married James Bedient.
Their son was Henry Lafayette Bedient, Madge’s grandfather

This is known as “pedigree collapse.”
